The QLI Laboratory at UIUC, directed by Prof. Gabriel Popescu, is focused on developing novel optical methods based on light scattering, interferometry and microscopy to quantify structure and dynamics of cells and tissues. Hosted by the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Technology, the QLI Lab is performing highly interdisciplinary research at the interface between technology development, basic biological studies and clinical applications.
